Social Responsibility

Utilizing resources more effectively is not only a requirement for a prudent and responsible business but is also the obligation of a responsible citizenry. We believe that using resources, bestowed on us by the world, with utmost care reflects our respect for the world and the environment, for humanity and future generations, and for ourselves.


The basic principles of our social responsibility practices are:


- We fulfill our social and environmental responsibilities toward society in all places that we operate, in close collaboration with our shareholders, employees, public, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders.


- We treat our employees with honesty and fairness. Any discrimination within the organization based on race, religion, gender, age, political opinion, language, physical challenge or similar reasons are not tolerated. We strive to ensure that people of different beliefs, views and opinions work together in harmony by creating a positive and cordial work environment that supports cooperation. We collaborate with community initiatives and support all activities to include and sustain women in the workforce. 


- We are committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment. We believe that all employees deserve to work in a healthy and secure work environment consistent with human dignity. Our employees are our most valuable assets and we strive to provide employee safety and security as our primary goal.


- We manage the environmental impact of our activities with a sense of responsibility. We analyze the environmental impact of our investment and supply chain processes, and pursue new technologies in order to minimize potential negative impacts.


- We show sensitivity to the traditions and culture of Turkey, Canada  and other countries in which we operate. We comply with all legal regulations currently in effect.


Kayalar Holding Human Rights Policy also refers to the main principles of United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its protocols, United Nations Convention of International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, United Nations Convention of International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action.
